| HOW TO ENTER
Teen girls residing in the state of Georgia can compete in Miss Black Georgia Teen! Participating teens will attend training seminars, receive coaching and personal development, participate in community service projects, and create lasting friendships with contestants statewide!

CRITERIA
- Born Female
- African-American heritage (at least 25%)
- Ages 13 - 17 (females age 18 may compete if currently enrolled in high school)
- Middle or High School student at a public, private or home school
- Minimum GPA 2.5 (copies of report cards/transcripts are required)
- Good moral character and health
- Must not have any children
- A resident of Georgia
APPLICATION AND MATERIALS
Contestants must submit:
- Completed Application
- Recent Photograph (professional photo NOT required)
- $25 Application Fee
Applications and materials are due March 1, 2009.
ENTRY FEES
The Pageant Entry Fees for the 2009 competition include:
$25 - Application Fee - (due with application by March 1, 2009)
$750 - Advertising Sales equal to 3 pages worth of ads - (due on July 1, 2009)
15 Tickets - Ticket Sales at $15 per child 12 years old and under; $20 per adult (due at last rehearsal)
Each contestant that reaches her advertising goal by June 27 will receive 10 FREE tickets (goes towards required ticket sales).
SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES
April 25 - National Youth Service Day Community Service Project
April 26 - Official Contestant Orientation and Parent Meeting ($100 due opening routine outfit)
July 18, 25 and August 1, 2009 – Rehearsals (tentative schedule)
July 18, 2009 - Official Contestant Retreat (MANDATORY)
July 2009 – National Black Arts Festival
August 7, 2009 - Pageant
All teen contestants must:
- Sell 3 pages worth of ads (value: $750)
- Sell 15 tickets ($15 for children, $20 for adults)
- Attend scheduled activities and rehearsals
- Participate in community impact projects
Complete 20 volunteer hours by July 18, 2009
