HOW TO ENTER

Teen girls residing in the state of Georgia can compete in Miss Black Georgia Teen! Participating teens will attend training seminars, receive coaching and personal development, participate in community service projects, and create lasting friendships with contestants statewide!

Deadline May 1, 2010

CRITERIA

  • Born Female
  • African-American heritage (at least 25%)
  • Ages 13 - 17 (females age 18 may compete if currently enrolled in high school)
  • Middle or High School student at a public, private or home school
  • Minimum GPA 2.5 (copies of report cards/transcripts are required)
  • Good moral character and health
  • Must not have any children
  • A resident of Georgia

APPLICATION AND MATERIALS

Contestants must submit:
  • Completed Application
  • Recent Photograph (professional photo NOT required)
  • $25 Application Fee
Applications and materials are due March 1, 2010.

ENTRY FEES

The Pageant Entry Fees for the 2010 competition include:
$25 - Application Fee - (due with application by May 1, 2010)
$500 - Grandparent Project fundraiser - (due on July 1, 2010)
20 Tickets - Ticket Sales at $20 (due at last rehearsal)

Each contestant that reaches her fundraising goal by June 15 will receive 10 FREE tickets (goes towards required ticket sales).


SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES

April 24 - Teen Interest Meeting

May 1 - Application Deadline

June 5- Official Contestant Orientation and Parent Meeting ($100 due opening routine outfit)

July 17, 2010 - Official Contestant Retreat (MANDATORY)

July 2010 – National Black Arts Festival

November 7, 2010 - Pageant

All teen contestants must:
  - Raise $500 for the Grandparent Project (value: $500)
  - Sell 20 tickets ($20 tickets)
  - Attend scheduled activities and rehearsals
  - Participate in community impact projects

Complete 20 volunteer hours by August 30, 2010
